Intel® Core™2 Processor with Viiv™ Technology
How do I turn the Intel® Viiv™ Media Server off and on?

Intel® Viiv™ Media Server distributes personal media and content from online services and the user interface of applications to other Intel® Viiv™ technology verified devices throughout the home network.

The Intel Viiv Media Server is on by default.

You can turn the Intel Viiv Media Server off. When the Media Server is off, content from the Intel® Viiv™ Media Library will not be served to remote Intel Viiv technology verified devices throughout the home network. You may want to turn the server off if you are not streaming media and do not plan to use networked media devices while running other programs on the Intel Viiv technology-based PC. The server remains off until you turn it on again or restart the computer.

The Intel Viiv Media Server is turned off and on through the media server options in the options menu selection on the Intel Viiv settings screen.

The Intel Viiv Media Server can also be turned off by right-clicking the Intel Viiv technology icon on the Windows* taskbar.

Verified services will vary, and content restrictions may apply. Wireless and network performance varies with specific hardware and software configurations, usage, and environmental interference. Use a wired connection for improved performance with video and other media. May require TV tuner card and/or remote which may be sold separately. Instant on/off feature works after initial boot, when activated. See www.intel.com/products/viiv/ for more information.
