Windows NT* NDIS Driver Does Not Load

Symptom:
Windows NT* NDIS driver does not load. Error message: "OcTk1601 : Could not allocate the resources necessary for operation" shows in the Event log when the driver tries to load. Other errors will follow because the driver does not load.

Solution:
Adjust the network settings in the adapter configuration:

  1. Open the Control panel window.
  2. Choose the Network icon.
  3. Highlight adapter, and choose Configure.
  4. Change Receive Buffers to 18.
  5. Change Transmit Buffers to 12.
  6. Change Max Frame Size to 4k.
  7. Save and Exit.

TokenExpress™ EISA 16/4 Adapter
TokenExpress™ MCA Adapter
