SCSI Settings

The following pictures will help you find and set the tape drive SCSI ID.

One important thing to remember about these ID's is that each device on the SCSI chain must have a unique ID. (The StorageExpress™ system requires a device attached as ID#1)

8mm drive (8505XL)

Use the jumper settings shown here to set the SCSI ID of your tape drive. Be sure to pick a number (1 to 6) that's not used by any other tape drive in this system.

DAT drive

Use the jumper settings shown here to set the SCSI ID of your tape drive. Be sure to pick a number (1 to 6) that's not used by any other drive in this system.

DAT autochanger drive

Use the jumper settings shown here to set the SCSI ID of your autochanger. Be sure to pick a number (1 to 6) that's not used by any other drive in this system.

DLT drive

Locate the set of jumpers labeled SCSI ID. Use the SCSI ID you chose earlier and the jumper settings shown here to set the SCSI ID of your tape drive.
