Software Needed:
None. The software is included with version 1.53.a.e or later. If your StorageExpress™ system is not at version 1.53.a.e or later please upgrade to the current version.

Hardware Needed:
EtherExpress™ PRO/10 Dual Port Network Interface Card (Included with UNIX agent only).
EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Network Interface Card (RJ45 port only)

To install the adapter, do the following:

1. Power off the StorageExpress XLx I system and remove the CPU cover.

2. Install the Riser Card and the PRO/10 or PRO/100 Network Interface Card in the slot.

   Note: The PRO/10 Network Interface Card can be installed in either slot of the riser card. The PRO/100 Network Interface Card can only be installed in the bottom slot of the riser card.

3. Put the CPU cover back on the CPU, make sure the LCD display is seated properly.

4. For Storage Express XLx II series, add the card to slot 12.

5. Power on the StorageExpress system, and hit any key while booting to enter local Maintenance mode

6. Select the appropriate Network Interface (10MB Ethernet or 100MB Ethernet).

7. Select the appropriate Frame Type.

8. LCD panel will then display "Waiting for connection from remote Central Console..."

9. Use Central Console to connect to the StorageExpress and continue with Initialization Mode as normal.
