Follow these steps to delete or clear out your ARCserve* 6 database:

1. Unload ARCserve 6 on the StorageExpress™ system.
   1. Go to the StorageExpress system NetWare* server console prompt via either RCONSOLE or a directly attached monitor and keyboard. At the NetWare console prompt, type 'ASTOP6' and press [Enter]. This will unload ARCserve and its related NLMs.

2. Map a drive from your workstation to the SYS: volume on the StorageExpress™ system.

3. Clear the database files.
   1. Delete EVERYTHING in the SYS:ARCSERVE.6\DATABASE\ directory.
   2. Copy EVERYTHING in the SYS:ARCSERVE.6\EMPTYDB\ directory to the SYS:ARCSERVE.6\DATABASE\ directory.

4. Re-activate ARCserve on the StorageExpress™ system.
   1. Go to the StorageExpress™ NetWare* server console prompt via either RCONSOLE or a directly attached monitor and keyboard. At the NetWare* console prompt, type 'ASTART6' and press [Enter]. This will load ARCserve and its related NLMs.
