How Do You Securely Erase Data on an SSD That Needs to Be Replaced?

Intel® Solid-State Drive (Intel® SSD) Series drives can be securely erased using the Intel® Solid-State Drive Toolbox.

NOTE: Windows 8 does not allow secure erase.

Note
  • You need secondary access for target drive for Secure Erase.
  • Remove all drive partitions.
  • You cannot Secure Erase a current working drive.
  • Securely destroy, and properly dispose of replaced SSDs.
  • Windows 8 does not allow secure erase.
