System hangs with BIOS drive password enabled

System hangs with BIOS drive password enabled.

Symptoms:

In certain platforms, the system may hang with a blue screen or black screen while coming out of system standby state if the BIOS drive password has been enabled through the BIOS. If the system hangs, any data that was not saved before entering the standby state may not be recovered.

Known impacted platforms:

Acer* Extensa 4230, HP* 6910P H, HP 8510P C, HP 8710P A, HP 2530 B, H2730P A, HP 6930P B, HP 8530P A, HP 8730W B

Work-around:

If you have enabled your BIOS drive password, do not disable or change your BIOS drive password and contact Intel Customer Support for additional information. Do not use system standby. Use only system hibernate or shutdown.
