The following is a list of server boards which the hardware vendor has advertised as being specifically designed for boxed Intel® Xeon® processors. Intel has only tested these server boards for mechanical fit with the Boxed Intel Xeon processor and the Processor Wind Tunnel (PWT).Processors shipped prior to September 2002 contain the "legacy" style of PWT, which only allows the fan to be mounted on the sides.The "new" PWT allows the fan to be mounted on the top or the side.The new PWT started shipping with 2.6GHz and 2.8GHz processors in September, and will ship in the slower frequencies at a later date. This information is for reference use by PC integrators only and is provided solely as a convenience.Please check with the hardware vendor for compatibility information regarding specific models of these products.
