Newer processors For Intel® Pentium® 4 processors and processors manufactured after the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor, use the Intel® Processor Identification Utility.
Legacy processor For Intel® Pentium® III processors and processors manufactured before the Intel® Pentium® III processor, use the Intel® Processor Frequency ID Utility.

1 Intel® Celeron® processors have been produced for a number of years, using several process technologies. The Intel® Processor Identification Utility supports Intel Celeron processors manufactured after the introduction of the 130nm process. The Intel Processor Frequency ID Utility supports Intel Celeron processors manufactured before the 130nm process.
