How Do Intel® Power Management Modes Affect Speed Detection Tests?

Known issue
Intel® Power Management modes can interfere with speed detection tests performed by the Intel® Processor Identification Utility. This interference can result in a marginally higher or lower reported frequency than the expected frequency.

If the reported frequency differs from what was expected, reset the system power management modes: disconnect and then reconnect the system power, start up the system, and retest.

Small variations in clock frequencies are common. If there is a significant variation, contact the system manufacturer or place-of-purchase for your microprocessor.
