Intel® Processor Identification Utility
Supported Operating Systems

The Windows* version of the Intel® Processor Identification Utility is compatible with the following operating systems:

  • Windows Vista 64-bit versions
  • Windows Vista 32-bit versions
  • Windows XP Professional x64 Edition (all service packs)
  • Windows XP Home/Professional (all service packs)
  • Windows XP Media Center Edition 
  • Windows 2000 Professional/Server/Advanced Server (all service packs)
  • Windows Server 2003 Standard/Enterprise (all service packs)
  • Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions (all service packs)
The bootable version of the Processor Identification Utility is operating system independent. After the bootable disk is created, that disk can be used on any platform by rebooting the system with that disk in a bootable drive. Once the system boots, it will load the utility so the Intel® processor can be identified.
