The Intel® Processor Frequency ID Utility identifies the processor in a tested system. Reported information includes:
- Brand name
- Rated and tested speed (check processor compatibility for this feature)
- Cache memory
- Technologies
- Classification
Two versions of the utility are available:
Bootable
- Operating system not required
- Bootable device is required
- Utility loads during boot process
This utility is no longer being updated for newer Intel processors. Newer processors are supported by a separate tool, the Intel® Processor Identification Utility. Refer to the supported processors list to determine the correct utility for your system.
