Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor is a Microsoft Windows 7* and Windows 8* application. The application displays processor frequency activity and shows energy saver mode when processor works at less than TDP frequency.
The latest version is backward compatible with previous generation Intel® Processors with Intel® Turbo Boost Technology.
The following processors are not supported. If installed on unsupported processors, the tool can display incorrect frequencies. In such cases, uninstall the application.

Windows Vista* is no longer supported, it can detect, but does not install on Windows Vista-based computers.
Copy the file Setup.exe to your system.
Double-click Setup.exe. Accept the UAC prompt, if it displays.
Follow the installer prompt instructions to complete installation.
Two-color vertical bar movement denotes changes in processor frequency.
Light blue area denotes Intel® Turbo Boost Technology frequency range.
Dark blue area denotes CPU working at less than base frequency (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep® Technology).
Frequency text displayed only for turbo range, greater than base frequency.
Energy Saver display
Signifies processor consumes less than rated power, and is displayed when Intel® Turbo Boost Technology is not active.
Detects processor and operating system (installs only on supported configurations).
Automatically uninstalls older version 2.0 and installs the new version, making sure one UI instance is displayed.
Go to Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall or change a program.
Select Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor from the list.
How to stop Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor
To stop Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor, close the Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor window. You can also right-click
Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor window and uncheck Run at Startup. Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor will not start the next time the system boots.

Have you changed the processor? Intel® Turbo Boost Technology Monitor only works on Intel® Processors with Intel Turbo Boost Technology. See supported processors in this document.
Check if you changed BIOS settings for Intel Turbo Boost Technology.
Uninstall Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor and reinstall the utility.
Consultant your computer manufacturer to see if there are specific settings needed to run Intel Turbo Boost Technology Monitor on your system.
