The primary difference between Intel® HD Graphics 2000 and Intel® HD Graphics 3000 is the number of execution units contained in the processor. Intel HD Graphics 2000 contains six execution units, and Intel HD Graphics 3000 contains twelve execution units. This means that Intel HD Graphics 3000 is better suited for more graphics intensive applications, such as those that use 3D.

What is Dynamic Acceleration? This is a feature that is available with the Intel® Core™ i7-2xxx processor series, Intel® Core™ i5-2xxx processor series, and the Intel® Core™ i3-2xxx processor series. It works similar to Intel® Turbo Boost 2.0 in that the processor will dynamically boost the graphics frequency for graphically intensive applications, provided the processor is operating under power, thermal, and current specifications.

Where can I get graphics drivers for the processors that feature Intel® HD Graphics? There are several options in regard to downloading graphics drivers. The first two options involve the Intel® Driver Update Utility. When you run this utility, it informs you if your system has or does not have the current Intel® graphics driver.
For graphics drivers, use the Intel® Graphics Driver Update Utility. For all Intel drivers use the Intel® Driver Update Utility. The global version of Intel Driver Update Utility not only incorporates an analysis of graphics drivers, but includes an analysis on other drivers such as audio and network drivers that come with the Intel® Desktop Boards.
