Processor Integration Video for LGA1155 and LGA1156

This video demonstrates the integration process for Intel® Processors based on the LGA1156 and LGA1155 desktop sockets.

Note

This installation video refers to the installation of LGA1156 socket processors and fan-heatsinks. These instructions are also applicable to LGA1155 socket processors due to the similarity between the two installations.

The fan-heatsink installation is the same as installation shown in the video for both sockets because the same fan-heatsinks may be used across the two sockets provided the thermal design profile (TDP) of the processor is the same.

Be aware that the processors are not compatible between sockets due to electrical, mechanical, and keying differences.

The video applies to the following desktop processors:

  • - The Intel® Core™ i7-2xxx and i7-3xxx desktop processor series
  • - The Intel® Core™ i7-8xx desktop processor series
  • - The Intel® Core™ i5-2xxx and i5-3xxx desktop processor series
  • - The Intel® Core™ i5-6xx and i5-7xx desktop processor series
  • - The Intel® Core™ i3-5xx and i3-2xxx desktop processor series
  • - The Intel® Pentium® G6xx and G8xx processor series
  • - The Intel® Celeron® G4xx, G5xx, G2xxx, and G6xxx desktop processor series
