Intel® customer support provides technical support for all Intel® Processors. However, if you purchased your processor as part of a computer from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), you should contact your computer manufacturer for the latest updates and technical support information. You should also contact your computer manufacturer or point of purchase regarding processor warranties. Warranty servicing for OEM processors are by the distributor or point of purchase directly.

Vendors typically purchase processors in large lots which are often referred to as tray or OEM processors. These processors are not individually packaged in a box, they do not include a thermal solution, and the warranty is set and honored by the vendor. Vendors are allowed to sell tray processors directly to the consumer, and warranties can vary from vendor to vendor.

An Intel boxed processor (with retail packaging) is sold in a factory-sealed package. Each boxed processor carries a 3-year limited warranty. In addition, each boxed processor includes an Intel Inside® logo sticker, a thermal solution, and an owner's manual.

Please note: Not all Boxed Processors ship with a fan/heatsink or thermal solution. This applies to Mobile and our Enthusiast SKUs (Unlocked Processors).
