Intel® mobile processor order codes typically are Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) order codes. The OEM order code, also known as the tray order code, refers to processors sold directly to system manufacturers who integrate these processors in their notebooks. These manufacturers provide the technical support and warranty services for these processors and notebooks directly to the customer.
The boxed order code belongs to the retail or boxed mobile processor product that is sold in the channel and come with an Intel® 3-year warranty. Intel provides technical support and warranty services for these processors. One way to identify the boxed mobile product is that it starts with "BX" in the order code.
