Older PGA370 motherboards may not be compatible with the newer Intel® Celeron® processors in the FC-PGA package.
Intel Celeron processors in the FC-PGA package require a different core voltage than Intel Celeron processors in the PPGA package. The core voltage for FC-PGA Intel Celeron processors is either 1.5 V, 1.65 V, or 1.7 V. The motherboard must be able to provide the correct voltage to the processor. Non-flexible PGA370 motherboards may not support the voltage change. You may reference the Intel® 440BX AGPset/PGA370 Flexible Platform Design Guide for further technical information.
Please contact your motherboard manufacturer to determine if this processor is supported on your motherboard.
