I have Outlook* 98 on my system. I installed TrueSync*, and then I uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook. When I went to synchronize, TrueSync told me it couldn't find the .pst folder.
When you reinstalled Outlook, the internal ID number of the .pst file changed. Since TrueSync keeps track of this ID number, it found that the file it expected to see is no longer there. The following procedure corrects this issue:
- Click the Outlook icon on the TrueSync Screen.
- Click the Options tab (which will have the old Personal Folders check box cleared when Outlook* 98 is re-installed), and then click the Personal Folders. You may also need to go to the Contacts, Tasks, and Notes tabs, and pick the correct folder for each of these items if you use categories for Contacts, Tasks or Notes.
- Click the appropriate button on the TrueSync toolbar (Calendar, Contacts, Notes, Tasks), and then click the Refresh Lists button to make sure that your mapping is correct.
