Full Resynchronization with the REX 6000 and Intellisync* for REX

Issue:
If the data in either your PC application or your REX 6000 is lost, do not perform a normal (QuickSync by default) synchronization. Doing so will result in the deletion of the data from your other system.

Resolution:
The confirmation prompt would normally warn you before the deletions actually took place. It would also present you with a Re-Sync button. Clicking this button executes a "full re-synchronization." Unlike a normal synchronization, a full resynchronization never deletes records. This is because a resynchronization is, in effect, a first-run synchronization. That is, the history file is thrown out, and the synchronization simply merges the contents of the two systems.

IMPORTANT!
This confirmation prompt is the only access to full resynchronization during the actual synchronization process. It is therefore not advisable to un-check Confirm Record Deletions in the Confirmation tab of the Advanced Settings dialog. Click The Confirmation Prompt for more information about Confirmation Tab options.

If the data in your device or PC application is not completely lost, but has in some other way been corrupted, you can delete the contents of the file and use Full Re-Synchronization to transfer the contents of the other system into the empty file or application. Note, however, that only mapped field values can be transferred to the empty system. Un-mapped values will be lost from any records you delete.

A FullSync (instead of QuickSync) can also be selected from the Intellisync* for Rex Synchronize drop down menu.
