XircomŪ REX-3 (REX-3)
Operating systems supported with the XircomŪ REX 3 and XircomŪ REX 5000 Series

The early REX 3 came with TrueSync Information Manager* (TIM), which is outdated and not supported. If you are using TIM, please upgrade to TrueSync Desktop*. If you are using TrueSync Desktop* as your Personal Information Manager (PIM), you don't need TrueSync Plus because TrueSync Desktop will synchronize directly with your REX 3000 or REX 5000 Series.

The REX 3 and REX 5000 Series cards will work in the Serial Cradle (docking station) and the PC Card slot, but are not supported in the USB cradle.

The REX 3 and REX 5000 Series are supported under the following Operating Systems:

Windows* 95, Windows* 98:
If you are using a PIM other than TrueSync Desktop, you'll need TrueSync Plus*, which comes with the REX 5000 series. If you have the REX 3, you can download TrueSync Plus here.

Windows* 2000:
If you are using a Personal Information Manager (PIM) other than TrueSync Desktop*, you'll need TrueSync Plus*, which comes with the REX 5000 series. If you have the REX 3000 series, you can download TrueSync Plus from our REX 3 Download Page. If plan to use the PC Card Slot, you must also install the Xircom Windows* 2000 Driver Upgrade located on this same Web page. The file name is REXW2K_100.EXE. After you download the driver, please click the README.TXT link just below the driver and follow the installation instructions.

Windows NT* 4.0:
If you are using a Personal Information Manager (PIM) other than TrueSync Desktop, you'll need TrueSync Plus, which comes with the REX 5000 series. If you have the REX 3, you can download TrueSync Plus here.

All other operating systems are not supported with the REX 3 or REX 5000 Series.

Note: It has been reported that the REX 3 or REX 5000 Series may work in Windows* Me if you use the Serial Cradle (docking station), but we are unable to offer any support for this configuration.
