If you are using Windows* 95, 98, Me, or Windows NT* 4.0:
- Click "Start," click "Run," and type "Hypertrm" in the Open box, and then click "OK."

- Type "Test" in the Name box and click "OK."

- Select your Xircom® modem in the Connect using box.

- Enter "12345" in the phone number box and click "OK."

- In the Connect window, click "Cancel." The Terminal screen (white screen) then appears.

- Type "ATI3" and press "Enter." The firmware version will be listed on the end of the line that is displayed.

Note: In some cases, you may not see what you are typing. Typing ATI3 and pressing ENTER will still work even though you do not see what you are typing.
If you are using Windows 2000:
- Click "Start" --> "Settings" --> "Control Panel."

- In Control Panel, double-click "Phone and Modem Options."

- In the Phone and Modem Options box, click on the "Modems" tab.

- Highlight the Xircom modem and click "Properties."

- Click the "Diagnostics" tab, and then click "Query Modem."

- In the lower window you will see several AT commands. Scroll down to ATI3. The firmware version will be listed on the end of the line of the Response of ATI3.
