If you are using Windows* 95, 98, Me, or Windows NT* 4.0, follow these steps:
- Click Start » Run, type Hypertrm in the Open box, and then click OK.
- Type "Test" in the Name box and click OK.
- Select your Xircom® modem in the Connect Using box.
- Enter "12345" in the Phone Number box and click OK.
- In the Connect window, click Cancel. The Terminal screen (white screen) will appear.
- Type "ATI3" and press Enter. The firmware version will be listed on the end of the line that is displayed.
Note: In some cases, you may not see what you are typing. Typing "ATI3" and pressing "Enter" will still work even though you do not see what you are typing.
If you are using Windows* 2000, follow these steps:
- Click Start » Settings » Control Panel.
- In Control Panel, double-click Phone and Modem Options.
- In the Phone and Modem Options box click on the Modems tab.
- Highlight the Xircom modem and click Properties.
- Click the Diagnostics tab, and then click Query Modem.
- In the lower window you will see several AT commands. Scroll down to ATI3. The firmware version will be listed on the end of the line of the Response of ATI3.
