| XircomŪ PortGear USB to Serial Full Uninstall Process |

- Click Start, point to Settings and then click Control Panel. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon.
- In the Add/Remove Programs dialog box, click Entrega* USB to Serial Converter, and then click Add/Remove. Follow the onscreen uninstall procedure. If the Entrega USB to Serial Converter is not listed, please go to Step 3.

Note: The Xircom USB to Serial Converter may appear in the list box as an Entrega USB to Serial Converter. If your converter is working properly, you do not need to upgrade to the newest driver. In the list box, the word Entrega will change to the word Xircom if you decide to download and install the newest driver from our Web site.
Warning: The following steps require that you make changes to the registry. Improper handling of the registry can severely damage your Windows installation. Please make a backup copy of the registry before continuing.
- Click Start, and then click Run.
- Type REGEDIT in the Open box, and then click OK. The Registry Editor opens.
- Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder.
- Expand the ENUM folder.
- Expand the USB folder.
- Click the folder VID_1645 PID_0002 and delete it. If the folder VID_1645 PID_0002 is not here, please go to the next step.

- Click Start, point to Find and then click Files or Folders. The Find: All Files dialog box appears.

- In the Named box, enter the following search words to locate any stray USB to Serial drivers in your computer. Leave the Containing text box blank, and select your main hard drive in the Look in box.

- Entrega
- Delete the files that were found in the search.
- On the desktop, right-click the My Computer icon. A shortcut menu appears.
- On the shortcut menu, click Properties and then click the Device Manager tab.
- Locate and delete any unknown USB to Serial device.
- Restart your computer and reinstall your USB to Serial device and software.
