Adding Xircom® PortStation Modules under Windows NT* 4.0

After the initial installation of a Xircom® PortStation kit and set of Xircom® PortStation Modules, you can obtain additional PortStation Modules and add them with no further installation of software.

Note: You must be using the latest driver for your module.

  1. Disconnect the PortStation USB cable from the computer or USB hub.
  2. Disconnect the AC power module and remove the PortStation Output Termination End Cap from the PortStation assembly.
  3. Plug the new module into the last PortStation Module, then reconnect the PortStation Output End Cap and AC power module.
  4. Plug the PortStation USB cable back into the computer or USB hub. Boot the machine. The correct drivers will automatically start.
