Anytime the Xircom® PortStation exhibits erratic operation, use the AC adapter. Many problems seem to be related to lack of sufficient power.
- Always check the BIOS configuration.
- Set the Plug-and-Play OS setting to "off" or "no."
- On Toshiba* computers set Device Configuration to "Setup by OS."
- Check your Users guide for instructions to set the BIOS. If a computer does not have one of these configuration choices, verify that the BIOS revision is the latest available for the computer by contacting your computer manufacturer. Upgrade the BIOS if necessary.
