Symptom:
An error message "The server threw an exception" is given when debugging after installing the Intel® Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows* 9.1.034 integrations into Visual Studio* .Net 2003.
Cause:
There is an installation-related problem with Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows 9.1.034 when combined with Visual Studio.Net 2003 (only) which results in the error, "The server threw an exception" when you debug after installing the 9.1.034 integrations into Visual Studio.Net 2003.
Solution:
The error can be resolved as follows:
Uninstall the Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows* Microsoft integration component using "Add/Remove Programs".
Run a reinstall/repair of Visual Studio .Net 2003.
Re-install the Intel Visual Fortran Compiler for Windows integration component.
This problem will be fixed in the next update and does not affect users of Visual Studio .Net 2002 and Visual Studio 2005.
