Symptom(s):
This is applicable if you're using the 9.1 version of the compiler, as in version 10.0 the common Eclipse* base components (the Eclipse* Platform Binary, Eclipse* C/C++ Development Tools* (CDT), and a JRE) are no longer provided in the compiler kit.
When installing Eclipse* component on some Linux* distributions using the 9.1 version of the compiler, you may see the following message:
The Eclipse component is being installed...
The installation program was not able to find required versions of the supported Web Browsers, Mozilla* (1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7) or Firefox* (1.0). Install one of the required versions of Web Browser later and make it your default Web Browser.
Cause:
The installation script doesn't recognize the existing web browsers.
Solution:
You can safely ignore the above message. It will not affect the functionality of Eclipse* or Intel® C++ Compiler's plug-in to Eclipse; but you may encounter problems when viewing some HTML documentation. Please check www.eclipse.org
† for troubleshooting the problems.
