Wireless Internet access

Symptom(s):
If I have a wireless capable notebook, will I be connected to the Internet anywhere and any place?

Solution:
To connect wirelessly to the Internet, you must fall within the coverage area of a wireless network that offers access to the Internet. If this is your home, you will typically need to create the wireless network by obtaining a wireless gateway device and Internet service from a local ISP (Internet Service Provider). At the office you would have to have a wireless network available - check with your IT department. If away from home, there are a variety of WiFi hotspots located in airports, coffee shops, and the like that provide wireless networks.

A list of hotspot locations verified with Intel® Centrino® processor technology can be found at: http://www.jiwire.com*
