If you are using Windows* 95, Windows* 98, Windows* Me, or Windows NT* 4.0:
- Click Start.

- Click Run.

- Type Hypertrm in the Open box.

- Click OK.

- Type Test in the Name box.

- Click OK.

- Select your Xircom modem in the Connect using box.

- Enter 12345 in the phone number box.

- Click OK .

- In the Connect window click Cancel.

- The Terminal screen (white screen) then appears.

- Type ATI3.

- Press ENTER.

- The firmware version will be listed on the end of the line that is displayed.

Note: In some cases, you may not see what you are typing. Typing ATI3 and pressing ENTER will still work even though you do not see what you are typing.
If you are using Windows* 2000:
- Click Start.

- Point to Settings.

- Click Control Panel.

- In Control Panel double-click Phone and Modem Options.

- In the Phone and Modem Options box click on the Modems tab.

- Highlight the Xircom modem.

- Click Properties.

- Click the Diagnostics tab.

- Click Query Modem.

- In the lower window you will see several AT commands.

- Scroll down to ATI3.
The firmware version will be listed on the end of the line of the Response of ATI3.
