Last Known Issues

Title:
Firmware Upgrade Program Not Finding Modem

Resolution:
If you are running fax software, it may be necessary to turn the automatic answer feature off.

Title:
The network connection is slow, unreliable or not made when using the CE2, CEM28, CEM33, or CEM33i in Windows* 2000

Cause:
The built-in Windows* 2000 drivers require that the cable type keyword be set properly.

Resolution:
Xircom drivers are not available for the CE2, CEM28, CEM33 or CEM33i in Windows 2000. However, drivers for these cards are included with Windows 2000. These built-in drivers are not supported by Xircom.

The Cable Type setting in these built-in drivers is "Auto " by default. It is some times necessary to set this cable type to Twisted Pair or Coax, whichever is appropriate.  This tends to be an issue on machines with an Intel®  Pentium®  III class (or faster) processor.

Note: Xircom does not plan to write new drivers for these cards for Windows* 2000.
