Yes. The Xircom®
RealPort CardBus Ethernet 10/100 consumes less power by
operating at 3.3-volts, instead of 5-volts (which is common
for 16-bit PC Cards). Its 'BatterySave'
advanced power management reduces power when the adapter is not in use for longer battery life. It also supports industry standard MAGIC PACKET WAKE-UP technology, Wake-on-LAN, and ACPI specifications, which further reduce power consumption and preserve laptop battery life. MAGIC PACKET WAKE-UP technology and Wake-on-LAN are mechanisms that allow administrators to power up specific, sleeping, or powered down PCs on the network from a remote location. The ACPI specification defines a framework for turning on and off hardware subsystems in personal computers for power management purposes. These power management features are expected to be supported in Windows* 2000 and possibly Windows 98* via a service pack.
