The network adapter property sheet in Microsoft Windows* XP or Windows Server* 2003 provides information on the network adapter, driver version, and Intel® PROSet for Windows Device Manager version.
Use one of the following methods to access the network adapter properties.
Device Manager
- Click Start » Control Panel.
- Double-click the System icon. Note: Select Switch to classic view if the system icon is not visible.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the + symbol in front of Network Adapters to expand the section.
- Right-click the Intel Network Adapter name.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
- Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel® PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel® PROSet is not installed.
My Computer Icon
- Right-click the My Computer icon located on the Desktop.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Hardware tab.
- Click Device Manager.
- Click the + symbol in front of Network Adapters to expand the section.
- Right-click the Intel Network Adapter name.
- Click Properties.
- Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
- Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel® PROSet is not installed.
Network Connections
- Click Start » Control Panel.
- Click Network Connections. Note: If Network Connections is not visible, select Network and Internet Connections » Network Connections.
- Right-click Right-click the Intel Network Adapter name.
- Click Properties.
- Click Configure.
- Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
- Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel® PROSet is not installed.
System Tray Icon
- Right-click the network system tray icon (the icon that displays two computer monitors).
- Click Open Network and Connections.
- Right-click the Intel Network Adapter name.
- Click Properties.
- Click Configure.
- Click the Driver tab to see the driver version.
- Click the Link Speed tab to see the Intel PROSet version. NOTE: The Link Speed tab will not appear if Intel® PROSet is not installed.
