When using PXE to boot to Microsoft* WinPE* and using a third party imaging software to install a client PC, network transmission of the image from the image server may be very slow or stop altogether.
Intel LAN controllers on motherboard or Intel add-in network adapters have certain advanced settings enabled by default when the network driver is installed. These settings may not be understood by the imaging software. It is recommended that administrators change these settings on the image server step by step, to identify if any of these settings affect the image transfer.
The following advanced driver settings should be changed step by step. The Intel LAN driver advanced settings can be accessed from Windows* Device Manager by right clicking on the network connection or network adapter and selecting Properties. Then click on the Advanced tab.
