Windows* Reports Network Speed at 1 Gbps when Teaming Network Adapters

If Intel® network adapters or Intel® network connections are teamed in either a Static Link Aggregation (SLA) team or an IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic Link Aggregation team, the network speed for this team in the Windows* system tray and in Windows* Device Manager will only show as 1 Gbps, regardless of how many ports are teamed together.

This reporting method is normal for software version 12.1 or earlier. The Advanced Networking Services (ANS) driver reports the network network speed as the maximum speed per port, rather than the combined speed of the teamed ports.

For software version 12.2 or later, the Advanced Networking Services (ANS) driver reports the network network speed as the combined speed of the teamed ports.

Note: In systems running Windows* 2000, all versions of the Advanced Networking Services (ANS) driver report the network network speed as the maximum speed per port, rather than the combined speed of the teamed ports. This behavior is not changed by upgrading to software version 12.2 or later.
