Symptom(s):
Network administrators need a Windows* script utility to change the speed and duplex settings of their network adapters during initial boot-up.
Solution:
Use prosetcl.exe to configure Intel® Ethernet adapters from the command line or from within scripts.
SETSPEED for Older Adapters For older PCI/PCI-x adapters you can script the change of speed and duplex settings on you network adapter from auto negotiation to other settings through the executable, speedset.exe. This utility has not been updated in several years and will not work on newer adapters or newer versions of Windows*.
| Note |
The setspeed utility must be run with one parameter. Read setspeed.txt for details. | |
