Description: After uninstalling the Data Center Bridging/Fibre Channel over Ethernet feature, leaving the base drivers installed, data transfer rates are slower than expected.
Solution: Choose one of two solutions.
Solution 1 -- Reinstall the Data Center Bridging/Fibre Channel over Ethernet feature and disable DCB
- Launch installation from the Intel® Network Connections software CD or software download package
- Click Next on the wizard welcome screen
- Select Modify and click Next
- Select the Data Center Bridging/Fibre Channel over Ethernet feature and click Next
- Click Install on the Ready to Modify the Program screen
- Click finish after installation completes
- Open the Windows* device manager
- Open the Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter X520 properties
- Select the Data Center tab
- Unselect Use Data Center Bridging
- Repeat steps 8 through 10 for each instance of Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter X520 properties
- Optional: Remove the Data Center Bridging/Fibre Channel over Ethernet feature
Solution 2 -- Completely remove Intel® Network Connections software including the drivers and install the software without the Data Center Bridging/Fibre Channel over Ethernet feature.

This procedure removes network connection drivers for all Intel® Ethernet connections. All remote connections will be lost. |
| A restart of your computer may be required after the uninstall is completed. | |
- Open Uninstall a program in Windows* device manager.
- Double click Intel® Network Connections
- Ensure all features are selected and click Remove
- Click Yes on the "Are you sure ..." message window
- Click Finish on the completion screen
- Restart your computer if prompted
- Install Intel® Network Connections without selecting the Data Center Bridging/Fibre Channel over Ethernet feature
