Symptom(s):
- Dropped packets
- CRC errors
- Runts
Cause:
There is an incompatibility between the software driver for the Intel® PRO/1000 T Server and Intel® PRO/1000 F Server adapters and the GMII interface on some Cisco* switches.
Solution:
We have discovered a problem between our current driver for the Intel® PRO/1000 F Server and Intel® PRO/1000 T Server adapters, and the following Cisco* switches :
- Catalyst 3750 Series*
- Catalyst 3550 Series*
- Catalyst 3500 Series XL*
- Catalyst 2950G Switches*
- Catalyst 2912MF XL*
- Catalyst 2924M XL*
The gigabit driver for the Windows* 2000 OS that resolves this issue is not in the standard download area but is available here:
