In Q4, 1999 Intel announced the discontinuation of the EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus (MBLA3200) and the Intel® PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus (MBLA3256).

Q1: Why is Intel no longer offering the EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus and the Intel PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus?
A1: This adapter is being discontinued due to customer preference for the new Intel PRO/100 CardBus II family with standard Type II and the RealPort integrated PC Card design.
Q2: How long will Intel provide drivers for the EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus and the Intel PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus?
A2: It is Intel's plan that the driver suite for the discontinued adapters will be available on the support Web site through at least December 2001.
Q3: How long will Intel provide support for the EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus and the Intel PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus?
A3: Free technical troubleshooting information will continue via our online services through December 2001. Telephone support via Intel Technicians will continue through February 2001.
Q4: What if I have problems with my EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus and the Intel PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus and need an RMA. Will you still honor the warranty?
A4: The EtherExpress PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus and the Intel PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus have a Limited Lifetime Warranty which Intel will continue to honor. Adapters replaced under the Warranty may be replaced with an Intel PRO/100 CardBus II Adapter or similar product.
Q5: Since Intel will no longer offer the EtherExpress™ PRO/100 Mobile 32-bit CardBus and the Intel PRO/100 Mobile LAN+Modem56 CardBus, are you recommending different products?
A5: Yes. Intel PRO/100 CardBus II family with standard Type II and the RealPort integrated PC Card design.
