The adapter may revert to a DHCP-assigned IP address, or have no IP address at all following a reboot, even though an IP address was manually or statically assigned prior to the reboot.
Download and save the registry entry file locally.

Steps for Using this Registry Entry File

Download and save the file locally.
- Double-click to Merge it with the registry
- Once the file has been merged, run 'regedit' to launch the Registry Editor.
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\is10002k\Parameters\Device\XDriverParameter
- Right-click the key and choose Modify.
- Near the end of the string, the IP address will appear as a default of 192.168.1.2 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and a default gateway of 0.0.0.0. Change that address, subnet mask, and gateway to the correct settings for your adapter.
- Click OK.
- Close the Registry Editor.
In certain circumstances, the XDriverParameter key is not created in the registry, and must be manually created.
