Symptom(s): The PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter will not connect to the iSCSI target.
Cause: The iSCSI target is not online, is on an unreachable subnet or is not compliant to the proper draft version of the iSCSI standard.
Solution:
If the PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter cannot find the iSCSI target on your network, verify that the PRO/1000 T IP Storage adapter is using the latest software and is updated to the latest firmware, and that the target is compliant to the proper draft version of the iSCSI standard. The original version of the PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter (PWSA8700T, PBA# A57521-xxx) with firmware 1.08 is compliant to draft .8 of the standard. The current version of the PRO/1000 T IP Storage Adapter (PWSA8701T, PBA# A98148-xxx) using the latest software is compliant to drafts .16 to .20.
If the target is online and compliant to the proper draft revision, try connecting a standard gigabit network adapter to the same port and see if you can ping the IP address of the target.
