What are the cable requirements for the Intel® 10 Gigabit AF DA Dual Port Server Adapter?
- Direct attach passive copper cables compliant with the SFF-8431 v4.1 and SFF-8472 v10.4 specifications.
- The adapter supports SFP+ Direct Attached passive cables (Twin Axial) only
- SFP+ optical modules cannot be used with this adapter. If you plug an optical module into this adapter, the module will not be recognized.
- Maximum cable length is 7 meters.

Are active and passive cables both supported?
