Symptom: Port 2 of NetportExpress PRO print server is configured with an LPR print configuration. However, all data sent to either port 1 or port 2 prints on port 1. This occurs with jobs sent either through the raw LPR command line or through Print Manager on a Windows NT* network.
Description: The printer name has been entered incorrectly. If any part of the printer name is missing, typed in lower case, or spelled incorrectly, the output will default to LPT1 with TEXT formatting. Examples of the correct and possible incorrect formats are listed below:
Correct format: RAW COMMAND lpr -S 137.46.201.38 -P LPT2_PASSTHRU contents.ps Print manager printer can be either LPT2_TEXT or LPT2_PASSTHRU
Incorrect format: RAW COMMAND lpr -S 137.46.201.38 -P LPT_PASSTHRU contents or lpt2_passthru Print Manager printer LPT_TEXT or lpt2_text
Solution: Verify the format of the printer name entered is the same format as the correct examples listed
