ERROR: A Message, Instead of the Print Job, Prints From the Print Server

Symptom:
Printer prints the following message:

12345X@PJL

@PJL USTATUS DEVICE = ON

12345X12345X@PJL

@PJL ECHO Netport Pro 10

Description:
The NetportExpress™ PRO print server has bi-directional communications enabled, and the printer doesn't support it.

Solution:
Disable bi-directional communications by unchecking the "Enable Bi-directional Communication With Printer" box for that parallel port under "Configure Hardware" in NetPort® Manager.
