Guidelines for memory integration
Optimal memory performance can be achieved by installing three matched DIMMS of equal speed and size in the blue DIMM slots (Channel A, DIMM 0, Channel B, and Channel C) as shown below

Installing memory in Channel A, DIMM 1 (four DIMM implementation) may result in less than optimal memory performance. This is because the system creates a dual channel operation by matching Channel A DIMM 0 and 1 with Channel B using the Channel B and Channel C DIMMs) | |
