Below is a list of the product or application terms for the Intel® System Management Software version 1.0 & 1.5, that are included in the software. This is to clearly distinguish one from another.
- Core Server - The center of a management domain. All the product's key files and services are on the core server. A management domain has only one core server.
- Console - The browser-based console that is the main product interface.
- Core Database - The product creates an MSDE database on the core server to store management data.
- Managed Devices - Devices in your network that have LANDesk* agents installed. "Devices" include desktop computers, servers, laptop/mobile computers, blade chassis, and so forth. A core server can manage thousands of devices.
