Active Directory administrator issues with certain language versions

Intel has discovered an issue with the Intel® Entry Storage System SS4200-E Storage System Manager application in Portuguese, German, Spanish, and French languages. This issue may not be confined to these languages only.

The issue appears when the SS4200-E is added to an Active Directory domain and a user attempts to log into the storage system as a domain administrator. This should provide administrative rights on the storage system. However, the user does not have administrative rights on the storage system.

We have determined that the root cause is that the administrator user list accessed via the group named "Domain Admins" does not work with certain languages. Those languages use a different group name for default administrator. A workaround for this issue is to add a new group named "Domain Admins" and add an administrator to that group. This provides access to the storage system with administrator rights when this is done.

Intel is investigating an overall software fix for the issue but the long term solution will need to be incorporated into a software update package and will take time to develop, validate and implement.
