For the Intel® Entry Storage System SS4200-E, the "Total Space" reported on Dashboard page is ~6% less than the "Available Storage" reported on Settings => Disks page.
This is expected behavior. The SS4200-E runs a Linux* kernel, and the disks are formatted using an ext3 filesystem. When an ext2/3 filesystem is formatted, by default, 5% is allocated as reserved blocks for the super-user.
This reserved space avoids fragmentation and allows root-owned daemons to continue to function correctly after non-privileged processes are prevented from writing to the file system. Another ~1% disk space is used to store logs, configuration and temporary files.
