This is a Windows* OS/file system issue. The cause is directory paths on the Intel® Entry Storage System SS4200-E longer than 255 characters (including spaces). Windows* is limited to less than 256 characters for the entire path.
The error is returned by the OS when an attempt is made by the Retrospect backup utility to read "too deep" and the storage system software maps to the 1128 error number. When you copy a near limit directory path to the SS4200 and then add the SS4200 path components, you may end up over the OS limit.
Some things that can be done on the client system would be to shorten the SS4200 name and possibly the client PC name. You can also keep in mind the OS directory path limitation when you install applications and keep the installation directory structure as short as possible. One way around this is to do backups as opposed to copies. With backups, you don't have the ability to simply access the backup data like you would the copy data by browsing. But the data can be recovered if needed.
