The firmware of Intel® Hot-swap Backplane FXX6DRV3GBRD and Intel® Hot-swap Backplane Kit AXX6DRV3G may need to be flashed to avoid backplane LEDs unexpected blinking when using Intel® RAID Controller SRCSASJV.
When Intel® Hot-swap Backplane FXX6DRV3GBRD or Intel® Hot-swap Backplane Kit AXX6DRV3G is connected to Intel® RAID controller SRCSASJV, together with SES cable connected, sometimes the backplane hard drive fault LEDs may display amber blinking while there is no actual drive failure.
After flashing the backplane firmware to the latest version, this issue will disappear. If backplane firmware is already with latest version, flashing the latest backplane firmware again will make the issue disappear.
